FREE DAFFODILS
Amenia Planting Project 2011
7,000 FREE narcissus (daffodil) bulbs will be available to residents of Amenia and Wassaic beginning Monday, October 24, 2011 as long as supplies last. The bulbs can be picked up from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Diana King's front porch, 39 Old North Road, Amenia (just northeast of Freshtown Plaza).

This year, there are five (5) varieties from which to choose: Angel Eyes, Avalon, Felindre, Fragrant Rose and Mount Hood. All are gorgeous, top-quality bulbs that can be mixed. Bulbs can be stored in a cool, dry place and planted until late November. They are best planted in groupings 4 inches apart in large "pot holes." Plant some of them alongside the roads to help beautify Amenia in spring!

The bulbs were purchased by the Garden Club of Amenia with proceeds from the annual Hidden Gardens of Amenia tour, and with the support of generous sponsors. For questions, email Diana King at dking1066@optonline.net, or phone (845) 373-9097.
